Atlantik Elektronik: Ethernet network connectivity for industrial machines

Atlantik Elektronik presents the xPico 110 industrial networking module, a compact device server module that has been developed by Lantronix to make it easy to IoT-enable legacy industrial devices. The Lantronix xPico 110 is specifically designed for industrial environments such as Building Automation, Renewable Energy, Industrial Machines as well as Access Control & Physical Security. The xPico 110 allows OEMs to quickly add robust Ethernet network connectivity into their industrial devices.

The xPico 110 features a TCP/IP stack with web server and networking services. Its TruPort Serial technology, and hardware-based, 256-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) operation, is claimed to provide secure serial data communication. The compact footprint, measuring 18 x 31mm makes it easy to integrate into virtually any industrial design.

There are two universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter (UART) interfaces in the xPico 110. One can be used to connect to virtually any eight-, 16- or 32-bit MCU. The on-board, secure TCP/IP stack helps simplify application firmware design and improves security and reliability. The integrated web server and network services provide a range of connectivity features, and eight GPIO pins are available to be programmed by the user. An on-module PHY helps simplify connector integration. The xPico 110 module operates from -40 to +85°C and comes with a five-year manufacturer warranty. The Lantronix xPico 110 wired device server, Ethernet networking module for embedded and industrial applications, is easy to integrate, with minimal engineering effort.
