Parasoft extends development testing support for Embedded IoT applications
Parasoft announced the latest release of Parasoft C/C++test, the static analysis and unit testing tool for C and C++ software, and Parasoft DTP, the powerful reporting and analytics tool that provides advanced analytics and insights across the SDLC. Part of Parasoft’s suite of automated software testing tools, these solutions facilitate software development best practices, rigorous bug detection, and security vulnerability remediation. Parasoft C/C++test’s static analysis and unit testing technologies integrate effortlessly with intelligent analytics from Parasoft DTP to bring efficiency to quality and compliance initiatives. This new release improves developer workflows, with a focus on enhanced environment and infrastructure support, and provides enriched dashboards and reports, to aid users in achieving MISRA compliance.
With a focus on removing barriers to software quality, Parasoft continues its support for multiple platforms and compilers. The new release adds support for WindRiver GCC 4.8.x, IAR for ARM 8.11.x, and Microsoft Visual C++ 14.1x. Parasoft continues to innovate by evolving the core static analysis technology while optimizing current and creating new rules covering MISRA 2008 and secure coding guidelines for developers of embedded IoT applications.
In addition to verifying and enforcing MISRA guidelines via static code analysis, Parasoft now provides the MISRA Compliance Pack, a powerful solution that specifically addresses compliance documentation requirements of MISRA. The Compliance Pack brings software test automation to the compliance process, greatly reducing the time and effort required to prove compliance to certifying agencies by automatically creating high-level overviews and detailed documentation.
